John LeMay was born and raised in Roswell, NM, the “UFO Capital of the World.” He is the author of over 35 books on film and western history such as Kong Unmade: The Lost Films of Skull Island, Tall Tales and Half Truths of Billy the Kid, and Roswell USA: Towns That Celebrate UFOs, Lake Monsters, Bigfoot and Other Weirdness. In addition to non-fiction, he is also the author of the novel The Noted Desperado Pancho Dumez. He is also the editor/publisher of The Lost Films Fanzine, Strange West Magazine and has written for magazines such as True West, Cinema Retro, and Mad Scientist to name only a few. He is a Past President of the Board of Directors for the Historical Society for Southeast New Mexico and the host of the web series Roswell’s Hidden History.
